Refunds and cancellations

How to cancel, what happens to your credits and how to ask for a refund, in plain words.

Last updated: October 25, 2026

This policy is part of TimeZyme’s Terms of Service. It explains how to cancel, what happens to your plan and credits, and how to ask for a refund.

For today’s prices and credit amounts, see Pricing.

The short version

  • Cancel any time in Billing settings. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you paid for.
  • Canceling doesn’t refund the rest of that period.
  • Monthly credits don’t roll over. Credit packs last 365 days and need an active plan to use.
  • A Zyme uses its credits only when it finishes. If it fails, they’re released.
  • Payments generally aren’t refunded, but you can ask, and we look at every request.
  • Deleting your account ends your plan and credits right away, with no automatic refund.

This summary is here to help. The full policy below is what counts.

1. Canceling your plan

Plans are monthly and paid in advance, and they renew on their own until you cancel.

To cancel:

  1. Go to Dashboard → Settings → Billing and open the Subscription card.
  2. Follow the steps to turn off renewal.

Canceling stops the next renewal, and your plan keeps working until the period you paid for ends. It doesn’t refund unused time.

Asking for a refund doesn’t cancel your plan. To do both, cancel as shown above and ask for a refund as section 5 explains.

2. Monthly credits and changing plans

The monthly credits that come with your plan expire at the end of each billing period. They don’t roll over.

If you change plans:

  • An upgrade starts right away, with prorated billing.
  • A downgrade starts at the end of the current billing period. You keep this period’s monthly credits.

Before you confirm a change, check the start date and the charge shown at checkout or in the billing portal. See Pricing for today’s credit amounts.

3. Credit packs

Credit packs you buy are separate from your monthly credits. They expire 365 days after they’re added to your account.

  • Your monthly credits are used first, then your pack credits, starting with the ones that expire soonest.
  • You need an active plan to buy pack credits and to use them.
  • Canceling your plan doesn’t delete your pack credits. Once the paid period ends, you can’t use them until you subscribe again, and their 365 days keep counting.

Expired credits don’t come back. If you delete your account and sign up again later, don’t count on your old credits being there. See Pricing for today’s pack prices.

4. Credits while a Zyme is made

Adding a paper and seeing its price costs nothing. You spend credits only when you choose to process it for the price shown. The price depends on the paper’s length and complexity.

When processing starts, we set the shown credits aside for that Zyme. They’re used once, and only if it finishes:

  • If it fails, it stays in your queue marked as failed and its credits are released, so it costs you nothing, and you don’t need to ask. Released credits aren’t cash, and the usual expiry and plan rules still apply to them.
  • If it finishes but you’re unhappy with the Zyme, you can ask us to review it, as section 5 explains. That doesn’t limit any remedy the law gives you.

5. Asking for a refund

Unless the law requires otherwise, payments aren’t refundable, including for part of a billing period. Canceling, unused credits and expired credits don’t earn a refund. You can still ask us to review a payment, and we look at each request on its own. Our payment processor may also refund you on its own.

To ask, email support@timezyme.com with:

  • your account email
  • the purchase date
  • the amount, and the payment or invoice number if you have it
  • why you’re asking

Never send your full card number or security code.

This review doesn’t limit any refund or cancellation right the law gives you.

6. What an approved refund changes

Credit packs

When we refund a credit pack, we remove credits from that pack in proportion to the amount refunded, rounded up to a whole credit. A full refund removes all the credits left in the pack.

  • We remove credits only from the refunded pack, and never more than it has left.
  • If some of the pack’s credits are already used or expired, we remove only what’s left. Your monthly credits and other packs aren’t touched, and you aren’t billed for the difference.
  • If some of its credits are set aside for a Zyme in progress, that part is adjusted after the Zyme finishes. Other unused credits can be removed sooner.

Example: if refunds on a 10,000-credit pack add up to 50% of its price, we remove 5,000 credits. If only 3,000 unused credits are left in that pack, we remove those 3,000, and we don’t touch your other credits or bill you for the rest. See Pricing for today’s packs and prices.

Plans

A refund of a plan payment doesn’t by itself take away that period’s monthly credits or cancel your plan. If you don’t want it to renew, cancel it as section 1 explains.

7. Payment disputes

If you dispute a charge with your bank or card company, please email support@timezyme.com soon, with the details listed in section 5.

We’ll review the payment and your credits with you and, if needed, with our payment processor. Contacting us doesn’t limit your right to contact your bank or card company, and the law and card network rules still apply.

8. Closing your account

Deleting your account cancels your plan right away and stops renewals. To delete it:

  1. Go to Dashboard → Settings → Profile and select Delete Account.
  2. Read the warning about losing paid time and unspent credits, then confirm.

Once your account is closed or suspended, you can’t use paid time or unspent credits. Closing it doesn’t refund unused time automatically or turn credits into cash.

If you have charges, paid time or pack credits to sort out, email support. Refunds the law requires are still available. Our Privacy Policy explains what happens to your information.

9. Contact support

Send refund and cancellation requests to support@timezyme.com. Never send your full card number or security code.
